New Airport Drone NFZ hit UK 13th March 2019 the Department for Transport & Civil Aviation Authority have announced today.

The new exclusion zone will be increased by several kilometres, including banning drone flight within 5km of runway ends.

The enlarged zone will better protect the UK’s airports from those misusing drones. New law will come into force on 13 March 2019.

Interactive map enables Drone Flyers to avoid the FRZs that are created by the change in Law on the 13th March 2019.

The C.A.A say ” It is illegal to fly any drone at any time within these restricted zones unless you have permission from air traffic control at the airport or, if air traffic control is not operational, from the airport itself.”

Earlier this month DJI announced the changes to their app based geofence flight system.

This will protect DJI owners from contriving the the new Airport NFZ laws, which could land those unaware to 5 years in prison.
